Airport Identification Badge Process


Badge Types and Requirements: Glacier Park International Airport issues identification badges to personnel requiring access to restricted areas.  All badges are issued in accordance with TSA and CFR 49 part 1542 regulatory requirements and require training and background check(s) prior to issue.  The badge and associated training are valid for one year and may be renewed 60 days prior to expiration. Due to federal regulation, any badge expired for more than 30 days requires that the individual complete the background check and initial badging process again, and will be treated as a new badge.


AOA Badge: General Aviation Hangar Access / Business Access
-Requirements: Security Threat Assessment (STA) background check and required training (~1 hour)


SIDA/Sterile Badge: Airlines / Fixed Base Operators / Personnel Requiring Access to the Secured Areas of the Terminal/Ramp
-Requirements: Security Threat Assessment (STA) and Criminal History Records Check (fingerprint) background checks and required training (~2 hours)


Lost/Stolen/Unreturned Badge:
-All badges must be returned upon expiration, termination or renewal.  In order to prevent unauthorized access, any lost or stolen badge must be immediately reported to GPIA at (406) 257-5994.
