Position: Assistant Mechanic/Laborer
Work Location: Glacier Park International Airport/FMAA
Pay Rate: $21.50-$24.00/hr. DOE (full time/permanent)

Job Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic, this position performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, heavy and light trucks, fire safety vehicles, compressors and emergency generators, and other vehicles and equipment. Repairs, rebuilds and installs equipment and vehicle components and attachments, including diesel and gasoline engines and sub-assemblies; electrical systems; hydraulic and pneumatic control systems; brakes; structural members and other parts. Additionally, this position performs airport maintenance functions including snow and ice control, repairs of airport-owned equipment, buildings, and infrastructure, landscaping, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Incumbent must be able to pass a federal background check and security threat assessment, have and maintain a valid driver license, and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of gasoline, diesel and heavy equipment hydraulic maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Airport maintenance experience
• Welding experience
• Gasoline, diesel and automotive repair experience

JOIN OUR TEAM: On-Call Snow Removal

What’s on our mind after Labor Day? SNOW! We’re ready to add snow removal operators to our team for the winter season ❄️.

On-Call Short-Term Snow Removal
New operators – $19.00/hr.
Returning operators – $20.00/hr.

Under direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance, this short-term, on-call position is responsible for performing snow and ice control on the airfield, streets, sidewalks, and parking lots.

Minimum requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current, valid Montana driver’s license
• 3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment or performing snow and ice control
• Satisfactory driving record (as determined by our insurance company)
• Ability to pass TSA criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous airport snow removal experience
